Skating for Peace has a Kickstarter to raise a very attainable $5000.00 to complete repairs and modernize the only skatepark in Cuba.
Skateboarding is certainly a global phenomena as we’ve seen over the years in some pretty unlikely places. Cuba is only 90 miles from the US however and is arguably in worse shape in the skatepark department then war torn Kabul. Though skateboards have been making their way to the island for decades, the skateboard is somewhat more disposable and abused then a 56′ DeSoto.
