Ride It Sculpture Park is a DIY-Skaters dream come true. Four vacant lots and an abandoned house are being transformed into permanent skate-able art. Put together by Power House Productions, an artist collective that has been turning around Detroit neighborhoods one house at a time. (real D, not Metro)
PHP has a Crowdrise page to help this project become reality and with one month before Go Skateboarding Day and Emerica’s Wild in the Streets descend on the Motor City they project is nearly halfway to the funding goal. The great thing about the Ride It Sculpture Park project and Crowdrise is they provide an avenue to help out with other then financial support. So if you are in the giving mood, but low on cash but know how to swing a hammer, get your self on a one bus to Detroit. Winter is a long way aways.
