Willow RCT is Chistoph Wildgrube’s (better known as Willow) new shoe from Etnies. Its a special series of the RCT, part of the “Earn Your Stripe” contest for a year worth of skateboard shoes from Etines. Willow’s preferred shoe material is canvas, so we’re getting a hell of a skate shoe in a vegan colorway! Featuring black waxed canvas upper with a solid toe cap, red synthetic-leather stripe and yellow detailing. The shoe even features all the colors of Willow’s home country, Germany.
The RCT has a narrow fit, with a pointer toe great for flip tricks. Thin tongue and collar give the shoe a close fit. The new Etnies soles are triangles with deep pockets. If anything like the current Sole Technology set ups, they’ll be providing maximum grip with a longer wear time.
