Skate Snacks – Method Air Matt’s Arnabit

Here is a simple skate snack for your post-skate hunger from my all time favorite vegan cook zine, turned cookbook, Please Don’t Feed The Bears! from Microcosm. Only 7 ingredients if you count salt and pepper and hopefully you’ll have everything required as basic pantry staples.  Don’t forget the tunes! (excerpt from Please Don’t Feed the Bears)                                                                          Method Air Matt’s Arnabit (Burned Cauliflower and Tahini Sauce)

1 Head of Cauliflower                                                                                                                      Sea Salt                                                                                                                                        Pepper

Cut cauliflower into medium sized flowerettes.  Heat a Pan on Medium high and add olive oil and cauliflower.  Add sea salt and pepper to taste.  Heat for 7 minutes, only stirring once.  Reduce heat to low-medium, and cover for about 8 minutes.  Turn it up to medium-high, stir once, and more salt and pepper and cook until mostly burned.

Sauce:                                                                                                                                                Tahini                                                                                                                                            Water                                                                                                                                            Lemon juice                                                                                                                                  Garlic Power

Start with Tahini, add lemon juice and garlic powder and mix well.  Slowly add water until it becomes a sauce like consistency.  Everyone likes this sauce different so you have to play with the amounts.  Pour an “extreme” amount of it over the cauliflower pieces.  Eat until sick.
