R.I.P. Adam Yauch

If you haven’t heard, Adam “MCA” Yauch passed away earlier today. I can’t think of many other groups that had such a long and evolving career with the kind of influence and magic possessed as the, Beastie Boys.  Ill Communication came out when I was in 8th grade. This was also the year skateboarding went from my transportation to what I did every waking moment.  Root Down was my jam. It was the song I hummed constantly in my head while trying to reproduce a smooth line in a video. When ever I got a chance to put my tape in the deck at the local skatepark, this was the track I started with.  I wish I had some eloquent words to pay respect to Adam and everything he contributed to my world. Something I’m not really qualified to do; however I am grateful for the music. Thanks.
